Interesting catch

I dont know who this guy is but he showed my buddy a picture of this fish he said he caught by two bridges road and said it was 45 inches. Isn't this a tiger musky? I normally wouldn't post a pic from someone else but I thought this was a rare catch. I never caught a tiger musky in the passaic.

That certainly is a Tiger Musky! And a beautiful specimen indeed. Congrats to the angler that caught the fish. Any idea if this fish is still swimming?

You can say u caught it anywhere on the internet. All my pike really came from Millstone ;)

Greenwood Lake escapee? It would have to have gone from there to Monksville Res to Wanaque Res to Pompton River to Passaic. I would say its unlikely. I'm unfamiliar with their spillways but if they all have over the top spillways(or releases) its entirely possible. More likely somebody threw it in there.

I wonder if its the Tiger from Packanack Lake that they released in there not far from 2 bridges

.

That certainly looks like Passaic River Poison Ivy growing around the trees. :D But I can't confirm it.

Musky fingerlings are relatively expensive. It would seem unlikely someone would dump them in the Passaic on a lark.

He might have said he caught it in the Passaic as a 'red herring' to protect his fishing spot. I've seen some shore anglers manage to catch big muskies in Little Swartswood.

My thought exactly, that was a low 40's fish if I remember correctly.

I don't know what the person did with the fish but isn't that the two bridges parking lot in the background? I agree with you rob. Looks like a low 40s fish. Weird how he is holding it up top away from the water. I also can't imagine that he caught it by the bridge. That water was super shallow all summer. Who knows.

I wouldnt doubt it came from Packanack. They dumped a lot of fish in the river when they emptied the lake.

Another beautiful specimen from the MIGHTY PASSAIC. Congrats to the angler should you read this, hell of a catch!! I knew this would show sooner or later, and was obviously hoping I ran into Mr. Muskie on the river but it definitely shouldn't be the only one out there I think. Hope it got let sweet though.
