2015 PEI Giant tuna Trip!
800lb giant blue tuna safely released. We fished 4 days straight but only hooked up two fish. I landed this giant on our custom build Ghost Hunter Giant blank. This year is the first time I used bent butt, it really helps the angler. Greg hooked up his fish on third day but line dig in popped 200ln JB hollow line.
It was frustrating as we marked so many fish and they don't want to byte! Tackle used: Jigging World Ghost hunter Giant Blank. Okuma Makaira 50 Special Edison w/JW Power Handle JB 200lb white Hollow core 75 feet momoi 200lb wind-on(made by me^^) 25ft Seaguar Blue label Fluorocarbon. https://scontent-lga1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...08675695_o.jpg https://scontent-lga1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...49234655_o.jpg https://scontent-lga1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...63221010_o.jpg https://scontent-lga1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...17323295_o.jpg https://scontent-lga1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...38806586_o.jpg |

Nice job Yong! That is one hell of a fish. Those jigging world rods get the job done.

Re: 2015 PEI Giant tuna Trip!
How do you safely land a fish that big! Great job doing so but how do you handle a fish that huge boat side, I would think it would be too big to handle. Is the yellow tubing in the pic chaffing gear and I guess there's a tail rope. One impressive fish, one impressive catch, and even more impressive releasing such a trophy fish. Congratulations on a great catch!
