Need advice on Delaware river

Im planning on trying for walleye on the upper Delaware river this fall. Can anyone tell me which section of the river would give me the best chance of catching a walleye. Was looking at launching at the poxona acess area since the map shows there is deep water nearby.I have a 16ft deep v aluminum with 2 electric motors and a 40hp outboard. Thanks for the help.

All sections of the river around easton North have walleye. Put your time in and see what works. I'm not betting many guys that do well will give you specific locations and tactics. You don't need deep water to hold fish although they will seek deeper pools when sluggish. Deep depends on the stretch your at but 10-13 is plenty deep to hold in. Plenty of fish stay in 5-8 foot all day to feed.

north and south of the 80 bridge holds LOTS of walleye year round. Hard to get a boat into that stretch unless you got a JET or are kayaking. As said you dont need deep water to get into eyes, just the right presentation

One thing to remember with all river fish is they use current to feed. Long deep pools will hold fish and you might see more on sonar but those are more inactive fish just waiting to feed again. You can still catch a few but more aggressive fish will hold on the crease waiting for bait to come by and making a quick move.

I don't have too much experience targeting eyes on the D, but all of mine from there have been caught from November-February in 30ft+ of water.

Never tried the big d for eyes but I get them closer to home at night in like a foot of water. The fish holding along the creases are def the ones I tend to target. They're actively feeding when up in the current.
