Lower South Branch float 8/30:

Floated from Clinton Falls to the confluence of the North Branch in 8 hours, a new PB. Whole stretch looks "fishy" and there is a ton of water in the river since they are sucking Round Valley dry. Breakfast at the Fine Diner in Clinton was just that.

My 7yr old little girl caught her first smallmouth just below the water plant there this weekend - hit a roadrunner. Shame they haven't removed the tractor tire yet....

Anyone know if there pike in retention pond between Hamden and River Rd? Ive heard rumors but yet to see one

Not really sucking it dry by any means. They're only running 85cfs from RVR while dumping 173cfs, more than twice as much, from Spruce Run. Still, it should create enough of a void in RVR for them to pump in some MUCH needed nutrient rich water.

Sounds like a nice day there capt...nice scenery too...

BUT WHERE THE FISH PICS AT!!!

Even if you just let a lure float behind the boat you'd probably catch something by mistake! :D
