Nice smallie
 

Had a bass contest Saturday and caught this nice smallie with my first cast of the day on one of my 4.5" swimbaits retrieved through some nice cool water inflow. I thought I had the first cast curse with no more bites for about 1.5 hours, but then we started whacking some largemouth on whacky worms. I ended up with 5 fish limit of 4 largies ranging 2.5 to just over 3 lbs and the first cast smallie topping it off at 3 lbs 7oz. It was good for first place and my father-in-law at the front of my boat got second place. It was a good day, best we've had during a contest since 2 seasons ago.

Great job takin 1st & 2nd, congrats! Nice smallie too. Had a few aggressive ones yesterday but nothing too large. Keep em' comin bro!!

way to go chris, thats a rly nice fish w some nice colors for summer temps.......congrats in the first place in the contest, looks like u guys had a banner day taking spots 1 and 2, good job for sure
