Dirty D Weekend
 

Well with the dry northeast i lost my charter Sunday.So we went out Saturday & Sunday to the big D. Started Satuirday morning trying to find an access point that was open in Philly but all were closed so around 7:00 we went over to NJ side. Nonstop action on perch & tiny stripers, also caught a pumpkinseed & had a hug hit that bit off my top hook & have no idea what that could of been in the river?

Got the call from Jerry at 6pm my saturday my sunday charter was no go so we went back out. Started on philly side caught 2 perch but the grass was unbearable so we went back to nj. again lots of perch & tiny stripers, an eel & 7 tiniest channel cats I ever saw. Also got to listen to a horrible cover band fromw here we fishing which made the night even better.

Sunday evening after churcg we went to Station avenue & caught more perch & bass & a prewrapped eel for sushi. No catfish at all. I never struggled to catch a decent channel cat in the river my whole life. Tried cut bait, chicken livers,nightcrawlers & shrimp but couldn't get a respectable kitty kinda made me sad. Oh well light rods & lots of action made for a beautiful weekend.

That is insane.

I am yet to pull out anything even half that weight from the D.

Mostly my were a bit bigger than yours. Still fun no matter how you look at it.

Good report dude! Looks like you had a blast despite the fish all being nuggets. Catching is catching. Your holding the future of the river in your hands!
