CRT II kids trip - fish fish fish

Yesterday afternoon, Captain Mick and mate Jeff from CRT II took 9 kids and 4 adults on a 4 hour fluke trip in the bay. Not sure how this was going to go but with a full cooler and drinks and food I figured we could get through it. Food and drinks were never needed to occupy time, non stop action for 4 hours, over 75 fish caught (mostly short fluke with a few robbins and dogfish), only one keeper but it didn't really matter. 9 Kids ages 6 - 11 had a blast!! Perfect weather and conditions.

Gianluca led the way with 15 fish released
Nicholas had the only keeper (and the pool fish)
Alessio (6) caught a dogfish and was convinced I owed him $100
Daniella (7) caught the first kids Fluke and took the $1 prize, also her first fish ever (sorry Steve, kids only in the $1 pool).
Callie (7) caught 7 fish (and held and released the first fish by herself)
Adriano started slow but caught the whistle fish to end the day
Frankie, Travis and Courtney rounded out the catch.

Steve and Anthony added some as well while Andrea worked on her tan. Yours truly bucktailed the entire time and ended up with one robbin and some chopped off gulp tails from the little fluke. The kids let me know of my performance.

Captain Mick and Jeff the mate on CRT II were great with the 9 kids. I couldn't ask for a better crew to work with and teach the kids. Cpt kept us in perfect spots for kids to fish. No rods in the drink and no major birds nest. A day all will remember. I have said it before on this site, take a kid fishing! They will never forget.

What a shame that these kids could not keep a fish or two.
