Mushin Canyon Overnighter 7/17-18 - Bigeye, Bluefin, Wahoo, Mahi
 

Capts. Alan and Chad and Mate Anthony had Tyler B's group out for a Canyon Overnighter on 7/17-18. Leaving at 12 noon, we were enroute to a local canyon when we had to pull the throttles back to the sight of bait being balled up and crushed by Bluefin tunas. A quick troll put us on 4 barely "under" bluefins, keeping our limit of 2. We put it back on plane for the canyon, and put in a couple miles short of the spot. Trolling we found whales, bait, and our bigeye of the evening. John and Pat ("the old guys") put a hurting on the 200# class bigeye to the boat in about 30 minutes. The overnight had a swordfish runoff, and boxed a half dozen mahi. In the morning, we had 3 bagger - one pulled off, one was a 25# wahoo, one was a 35# mahi! We then pulled some more, and had the jumbo right one...after about a 10 minute fight, broke the main line. We look forward to seeing Tyler's gang again soon.

Thanks bill! Just saw this ! Leifer is on board this sat/ sun for a over nighter! Fishing has been pretty good lets see what happens !
