Blackfish in July

Hey gents,

With July 17 just around the corner, I was wondering what type of boats/trips it would be best to go on to get myself a tog? Seems like most of the bottom fishin boats target ling now correct? Are there tog being brought up from the ling grounds?

Even though it's only one fish, I would love to bring a two dozen or so crabs to catch that one blackfish.

Thank you for the suggestions

Depends on the day. I have seen 2 over 10lbs in the past few weeks. Some days a dozen keepers and other days none.

Yesterday we had a few that would have been keepers on the Paramount. I personally would not take any of the females they are full of Roe right now. It's your choice but I feel your killing the future by taking them now. If your not sure about the females you can ask the mates or the captain they can advise which is which.
