River Walleye Weekend 7/10 & 7/12/15

2 Attachment(s)
Got out late Friday night and late Sunday night on the ribber... Friday i did decent for a few hours. Caught 2 eyes 19" & 21", and 2 schoolie stripers. Only snapped a pic of the 21"er. The 19" wasnt cooperating so off she went. No pics of the schoolies.

Last night was slower. One fish... walleye @ 24" and thick as a log. This fish had the biggest eyes, head, and mouth I've ever seen on a walleye in this size class. Saw a bunch of others but I'm pretty sure the thrashing of this river mule scared the turds outta the others in the area. Both caught on soft stuff w/ a jighead...

Here's some pics. Catch em' up!

Who needs the sun???? The Jigman doesn't!!!! Your caught fish to dead AAA headlamp battery ratio is looking good!!!!

Funny u mention that Scotty. I literally pulled over to put new batteries in my headlamp 5 min before getting to the spot I was fishing. I should be using my credit card to pay for my batteries... I'd be racking up the miles!

I'll fish in the day again soon... One can hope lol...

.

That's awesome. I was on the river Saturday night, until the mosquitoes drove me back to the launch.

I C&R'ed a 21" Chain Pickerel and a few small catfish.

Nice dude! Did I give you any Relax rubbers to throw?

A while back you did when we were out with Mikey and Rocco. They're long gone! I'm open to testing some more for sure, though. The eyes seem to really like the thumping tail. The brand I've been using has a tail that is poured to mimic a Colorado blade. They throw some serious vibes out like the relax baits but have a narrower profile.

Relax rubbers lol... That's just too easy! Hahaa!
