Fishermen sunday night 7-5 stripers and jumbo porgy
 

This afternoon we ran our first summer porgy/bottom fishing trips after starting out with a couple of drops for bass. The bass were cooperative with a few keepers caught in addition to several shorts. We had 4 on at a time and Carlos had the big one for the pool.

When the bass action slowed down we made the switch to porgy rigs. Sal had the first fish within 2 seconds of hitting bottom at the first spot. Several porgy were caught including some in the 2 lb range and some double headers. A few nice keeper seabass were added too.

Capt. Dan will continue looking for bass as long as the action and interest keeps up in addition to porgy fishing. Give him a call to let him know when you'll be down at 908-930-2335. I will post pics in the AM.
