South Branch a Little Stained
Fished with Noel early this morning. Caught only a 10-inch smallmouth. Noel caught a lot of little ones, one of them almost average-sized. Below Clinton, it's flowing a little stained, not surprised, just glad it's as clear as it is. Other day I stopped at Branchburg, found the N. Branch there more stained than S. Branch today. Had a take from a bass that had just leapt for a damselfly. In Bedminster, river was pretty clear, not as clear as is typical there, but only one bass on. Nice long wade & hike back.
