Mako Mania has been postponed due to the offshore forecast of 7 to 10 foot seas from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

According to tournament director Pete Grimblias the safety of contests was the major reason why the Greater Point Pleasant Charter Boat Association decided to postpone the contest for two weeks.

Weather forces postponement of Mako Fever

This means there will be no shark tournaments this weekend on the Manasquan River after Mako Fever decided to cancel first on Thursday.

Both tournaments will be held the weekend of July 10 - 12.
