Ocean winter flounder?
Last year when I was sea bass fishing in the spring, I caught a bunch of REALLY
Nice winter flounder. Is it possible for a charter to target them? I would love to get a charter up for sea bass/ling with an effort to catch a few 4lb flounder. I remember as a kid this was more of a thing. |

Joe - you said that you have to get on the edge of the piece - that is true but a lot of the wrecks we fish actually have the fish right on them. Pics below are just a few (these were some of the ones over 3#) we caught last summer on our "deepwater" bottom trips. We usually averaged 5-10 a trip and we had our limit a few times last year fishing wrecks in 100-240' of water. |
