Monster Hunter (part 1: Catfish) nights 3 and 4...Kitten fishing?
 

Been slugging away each night and the fish are getting smaller. The bullheads are out in force. hotdogs are still the choice bait and the later it gets the better the fishing. I plan on fishing local as much as I can but want to fish the D at least once a week from now on. BTW fish in picture is the only non bullhead I've caught thr last few nights. I'm staying confident thou, there's a big one comming!

just keep catching fish and a big one will happen by! put a bigger piece of hotdog, maybe that'll keep the small ones off you somewhat.

Have u tried using a live sunfish or bluegill? Big channels gulp them down pretty easily. It'll eliminate the smaller fish from the equation. Nice fresh cut baits like herring, sucker, eel, or panfish chunks will def draw some larger fish in.

Yeah I always have live baits with me...surprisingly no love yet
