The bass bite is on!
 

I hit up Lake Manalapan after work yesterday, and the bass bite was as aggressive as I've seen all year. I went 5 for 10 with a tube jig, most fish crushed it as soon as it hit the water.

We're in the thick of it now, gentlemen, get out there while the getting's good!

Looked like a nice night out there dude. Can't beat havin the place all to yourself either. I always forget about those tubes...they are really effective under the right circumstances for sure. I'll definitely have one tied on the next time out now! Nice video. Thanks for sharing that.

Nice. Has a similar situation at my local mud puddle with Senkos.
Bass were on the beds staring at me. Let them go and they went right back on the beds. Could have caught them a couple times!
Felt bad and let then be. Nice to see some thick ones survive the winter to breed.

Great lookin time bro, luv the vids! Sweet to see you gettin em on the tube too, they're like my favorite lures. I mainly go with a weighted gamy, the different bend in the hooks might help. Tried different rigs as well, some worked some didn't. Here's some cool ones. Nice catching man!

Hit the same lake after work again tonight. The bass were definitely more cover-oriented than they were on Tuesday, probably due to the cloudless sky. Found lots of willing biters, though, landed about 10 and missed a few others. The tube jig was the ticket once again. No camera this time.
