Off to a good start. Picked up some decent Smallies this weekend up here in north Jersey. Got a 18.5" on a shakyhead and 16.5" on a jerkbait. Spent half the time playing with my new fishfinder and oh boy, this thing's gonna be a game changer! :D

what's the new ff? does it have side imaging? I'm so tempted to get the helix with that for 499...i can't afford it technically but oh well haha.

So regarding the fishfinder--my brother is a super-techy and saw the Lorance HDS gen3 at the outdoor show and was hooked. I was like but...but... Long story short, he bought it. My wife wouldn't even begin to listen to me tryin to justify that one. Funny thing is I feel like it's just about worth more than our entire boat!

Anywho yeah it has structure scan but def gonna take a while before we know enough to use it to its full potential. Anyone with a ff knows that it don't mean ur gonna catch fish-- There's a fine line between uncovering a pattern and going on a wild goose chase!
