Poconos report 4/26 & 4/27
 

I started out on Sunday doing a float trip around the Shawnee area for shad. I caught 12 ( 5 roe, 7 bucks ) on both spoons and darts. It was slow fishing, with fish being caught at 8am, 2pm, and 5pm. Nothing in between. I also caught some of the biggest fallfish I've seen. I also saw the state stocking 2 tanks of walleye fry.

Sunday night I went over to Bushkill falls. I got 2 nice brook trout on butterworms.

This morning I went to Minisink Lake. I caught 3 rainbow trout, 3 brown trout, 3 chain pickerel, 1 LMB, a crappie and a yellow perch. Got them on spoons and cranks. One of the picks had a 9 inch brookie in its throat and spit up in our net.

Wow, some nice fish there! Did a little pickerel eat your fall fish?! Hahaha

Great catching dude. Healthy looking fish all around! Gotta love those silver bullet Shad! :D

Keep those dam pickerel & bring them to a CHINESE restaurant to exchange for free Chinese food & a few less less trout eatin mud snake slim rockets!
