Bass & Pickerel - 4/26
 

Hit a beaver pond(more like a lake) I hadn't fished in years despite being only about 10 minutes from home. It requires quite a walk of about 20 minutes or so and after that your sloshing your way through swampland. Its worth it though since its a place full of pickerel and bass. Still no big bass this year but picked off 14 today along with 17 pickerel - one going 24" and a HUGE one that snapped my line around a stump. Even got a few big bluegills. Used the usual stuff: buzzbaits, spinners & poppers. Given all the stumps and trees, I lost 4 other lures. That was the only downside.

sounds like a sweet pickerel spot! plus no one around ever! can't beat that!
