Has anyone heard of any tog being caught in the shallows yet? I see they are catching a couple in the deep while cod fishing. I have a trip next week trying for tog; that is if the wind ever stops!

What tog? Hope you are going south out of Cape May. Been chomping at the bit and watching water temps and reports all month. This sucks and another April bust, just like last year. Hope Im wrong for your sake. They should change this re-open to May, but of course "they" don't want us to catch fish anyway. Good luck!

Fished the last two weekends.
two weeks ago hit 7 different wrecks from 60' to 90' very slow bite with one keeper tog just 15" and one short in 80' not many bites at all. Last weekend tried again 60' to 80'. Nothing shallower but at 80 I had one keeper tog and one keeper cod. but the bite was a lot better with around 15 short tog. I think it will turn on anytime. Hopefully before the season closes.

Like Fishfish said, not looking so good right now. Fishing out of Cape May tomorrow, then going tor give it a shot on Tagged Fish, on Tuesday. We can only hope at this point!

What a difference a week makes. Left at 11:00 this morning went out to 60feet .Had a good bite with a 2 man limit with fish up to 7 pounds. Back at the dock by 2:30. Hope to be out again tomorrow.
