Bottom Blast

Just came back from 4 days in West End, Grand Bahama Island with Jersey Boys Mike Hall, John Lally, and John Gibson. Bottom fishing was outstanding but getting the fish past the sharks was really tough. My best catch was putting on a small hook and a piece of squid, and coming up with a small yellowtail snapper and the grouper that ate it! Tight Lines --Rich

Quick question Rich the trigger fish pictured are they same ones that we get up here? I kind of figured the blue coloration on the stripes is because on the waters colors.

Yes, it's a queen, we had both giant greys and queens depending on how deep we fished, the queens seemed to be in shallower water, 30-40 feet. Both the greys and queens were so large it really took two hands to hold them and then one of the other guys would pull the hook. And yes Jmurr, they were outstanding to eat, having some more tonite. Oh yeah....did I mention the cero mackeral sashimi ??? :D
