1st Shad Trip

Well , after 25 years of wading at the Gap for Shad, we made our first shad trip from a boat. NJ Fish legend Predator and I fished with Capt. Dieter out of Lambertville this morning. In 4 hours we landed over 20 beautiful looking shad. They were mostly bucks but we did land a few 5 to 6 lb roe. All fish were released cleanly. Beautiful morning on the river. Hopefully we'll post some GoPro footage of a few jumps we had today. The run is on.

Soooooo Goooood to hear!!!! Fished just a little South of Easton tonight for a couple hours to shake rust off.

It was a lot of fun Andy. Would do it again next year. However it doesn't compare to the excitement of feeling that hit while your wading from shore. Loads of fun either way.
