4/12/15 - Round Valley Lake Trout-fest!!!

Fish the RVTA Trout tournament at Round Valley this past Sunday 4/12/15, and had a great day with the Lake Trout.... And a not so great day with the Rainbows/Browns lol. 90 Lakers caught out of everyone in the tournament, but not a single Brown or Rainbow weighed in. We ended up getting 10 Lakers in the boat before heading in for the weigh in, and should have had another 10 or 12 in the boat but pretty much lost them just because of stupid mistakes. Started out our day slow by missing two Lakers on the downriggers early on and landing a third. But all three hits were on gold spoons, so we switched both of our downrigger rods to gold spoons as well as two of our 10 color lead core set ups to gold spoons, and from there on it was game on for Lake Trout. We even headed back out with two more of our friends after the tournament was over and continued to beat up on the Lake Trout until sunset!
