First open water fish of the year..
 

By far the latest I've had to wait to get first post-ice fish. Only got three chainsides - 11", 14" and 18". All on panther martin spinner. Water is still quite cold up north - warmest i found in three ponds was 43F. No bass seen yet. I've actually seen more painted turtles than bass :mad:

Let the games begin !! Look forward to your reports, always a great read. I often wonder if you could float tube many of these smaller lakes and ponds ?
