Opening Day 2015
 

I just watched the festivities this morning. Saw lots of anglers but didn't see too many trout caught. About the same story everywhere: Lots of fishermen but not much being caught.
After the crowds thinned out I fished for an hour or so and caught 2 rainbows and a brown. Wish I could've got a pic of the brown. Beautiful fish. The rainbows I kept , the brown I released.
Not a bad opening day. It's only the beginning. Lots of fishing ahead.

Went north with a friend to his "secret spot" near Califon, good fishing, looks like his secret was out since long line of guys few feet apart. We got them good; one short of two man limit of 12...lost a few; most of the first caught throwing phoebe's sliver. Saw a guy caught few on worms with powerbait chartreuse shiny paste. Came back to CNJ in the afternoon. Overall a good day. Lil windy but, when fish is biting who cares :D . Good luck for 2015 and tight lines.

Plenty of people out and about by the looks of the reports, good weather and good stream flows. Brown trout ;)

Caught a limit between rockaway river and the pequest. Was a slow nite over all
