Opening Day Skunkathon
 

Hit the traditional opening day spots on the Ramapo with my old time buddies. 6 hours and not a swipe. Water was high, fast, slightly stained and frigid. Refusing to give up I hit the Rockaway on the way home which just added to the misery. Spoke to a couple of guys and they were reporting no luck as well so I don't feel so bad.

I finally got sick of looking at all the trash surrounding my favorite spot on the Rockaway and came home with a bed full of garbage. What is wrong with people?

I got skunked too but then again I was home sick all day.:D

Very impressive!! Sucks that some people aren't bothered by sitting in trash, and it won't get picked up unless a non-Douchebag does it.

I saw some one trying to arrange a clean up on the Rockaway and it seemed to have fallen by the way side. Don't give up, there must be a Watershed group attached to that area, even try giving the local TU chapter a shout out.
Got the skunk, but filled the truck :)

This is the first time I can remember I got completely skunked opening day, 5 hours, 1 hit and it got off, I do have some mean wind burn to show for my troubles though:)

I would have done same today at my fav stream but left my bags home , do it tomorrow I'm sure it will be there!
It's amazing how once some pig dumps other pigs contribute to same site ! Hopefully keeping it clean will make them look elsewhere !
