Opening Day D&R Feeder Canal
 

I hit up the D&R Feeder this morning in West Trenton, Upper Ferry Rd. and was surprised by the amount of people that showed up this year. The guy next to me caught one small one at about 8:15 on a salmon egg. I got nada there so after about an hour I moved downstream to the Wilbertha Rd, Bridge. There was one other guy I could see even further downstream so I put in next to the bridge with power bait on one rod and night crawlers on the other. I used my third rod to toss Rostertails. Didn't get anything for a while then people started showing up. A guy and his small boy set up next to me that the kid caught one on his first cast. It was his first fish ever too. Real cool to see that! Then I hooked a nice one on power bait. The kid ended up with 5 and I caught 3. I didn't see many caught but it looked like everyone caught at lest 1.

Nice fish!! Just wondering, do the paint chips from your cutting board add flavor? :p

Glad you caught some fish but now that you told the entire world where you caught them maybe you should look for a new spot!!!!:eek:

The D&R Canal is all public land, a 60 mile long State Park on the Delaware side so I don't feel like I'm burning a spot. Paint chips washed right off before I cleaned them. Real windy outside was a real PITA cleaning them. Tight lines everyone!
