What's that smell?
 

No it's not a deep dish pizza! It's a skunk! Got me again, 4 skunks in 5 trips, not good! At least got to fish open water and cast with some new gear. Saw dead and dying shad being molested by birds, no fish though, the birds couldn't even fit the shad in their mouths it seemed. Just flew away leaving them twitching on the surface. Well it was a new to us lake and it whooped us good, no bass pickerel or taps or nibbles. Tried all the cold water classic techniques and some out of the box ones, no luck.

Someone post a good report so I can live vicariously through you! Hahaha

No skunks here buddy boy. I fished a river today and caught a whopper Pike! This MONSTER measured about 16 inches, caught on an 8 inch Bomber, LOL!!!

16" of pike on my line sounds like a glorious experience After throwing the kitchen sink today with nothing to show for it haha

Maybe the sink was making too much noise!!! Should have tried downsizing a bit!!!!LMAO
