First open water fish of 2015
Left the ice gear in the garage this morning and dusted off the rods for some open water fishing. Drifted shiners and was rewarded with 2 fish, one at 29" and another at 27". Both were thick with very nice coloration, as they usually do this time of year. Surface temps still very cold, so it'll be a bit before it turns on for good

Those are two great looking fish and equally great looking pictures. You should send them to Paul Tarlowe at the NJ. Division of Fish and Wildlife.
