We went RV Today. Report and Ice conditions.
 

With an opportunity to ice fish RV that does not come around every year two of us decided to give it a shot.
We missed two on tip ups and nothing jigging. Few Lakers 21-24" landed right around where we were fishing to our left(1 laker and a huge Pearch, Pict of laker), right and deeper out, landed 2 one on tip up and one jigging a spoon with a shiner on it.

A group of Russian guys fought a big one for 20 mins and tangled up down below. Did not look like th got it. Their group got 3 lakers I heard and someone landed 7 not between tower and boat ramp
Ice was 8" of black ice with few inches of snow on it. Guys walked from boat ramp to other side over the pressure ridge and fished left of the dam and were fishing all out in front of tower to the left of boat ramp..


Weather was cold this am but a beautiful blue bird day with not so much wind.

Not many shiners this am at the local bait shop, so might be out by now.

way to tough out the pressure crack/ridge...I remembera few yrs back that ridge where the ice shelves met was a three foot difference...Pretty cool...

Hahahaha , I used to work for that company!!Was with them for about five yrs in the early 2000's..I don't recognize you , so i'm guessing you were'nt with them back then...

Anyway, approx how many guys you think were out there today???anywhere near 100???

Was about 100 or more fishing, few people cross country skiing, walking dogs, walking around and enjoying the a awesome weather day. Wind kicked up a little a few times but was a very calm wind day for RV.
Even though we did not land any fish it was a great day.
Most Laker bites today came from edge of deeper water 70-100 that were near we were fishing.
Guys with more bites seemed to be using 6lb leaders.

Looks like a great day out there. Some nice fish caught all around from what I'm hearing and reading. RVTA had a get together out there today I believe. What a day to be out. Little chilly in the morning but once that sun came up it was glorious. Thanx for the report dude!!! Nice Laker!!!:D

No there was many Blue shelters out there , We had the lower to ground camo deer blind

Camo, no wonder we didn't see you. Actually in your first pic that could be us on the far left, though I think we actually might have just been out of the frame a little farther to the left.
