Ice reports 2/14 - 2/15

What ice thicknesses you guys encountering at various lakes throughout NJ? We had 14 inches yesterday on Fayson in NE Morris County. Any other reports?

Also, are the big lakes like Hopatcong and Greenwood completely iced over? How about Round Valley?

Round Valley swimming area has 12+ inches. Though main side won't be safe for at least another week or so I'd say. Spruce Run has a good 10-12inches or so, if not more

I'm going to actually measure the ice tomorrow, I think it always seems thicker than it really is.

Be careful out there on the Passaic, Big D, or any moving body of water. NO fish is worth having an obituary written in your name! A few inches on moving water is just crazy. Eddies, seams, underwater structure can have significant impact on where ice forms when it comes to moving water. Spring is right around the corner and we'll have all the time on the water we need. Be smart and you'll be safe.
