Fishing on my 50th birthday. What better way to celebrate the big 5 0 than to be on the river with my boys! I was able to land one rainbow and missed 2. Fluorescent orange egg pattern. Boys couldn't get the skunk off:(, but I think they enjoyed being out on the water regardless...:)

Spent 2 hrs soaking bait yesterday,(not my style) very light hits with a bunch of misses. Mixed it up with worms, mealies and eggs.
Switched to my "Go to" and Game On.
Just before dark, ready to pack it in, 16 inch brown. (I would not be denied)
Had one follow to my feet, without hitting, that went well over 20".
Many chasers with few takers, all in my last 15 minutes.
I don't mind because I know where you live,(biatch).

Gotta be out there to get em! Beautiful way to spend the big 50! Kids on the water and loving it, priceless!!!!! Happy Birthday dude!:D

Nice way to spend the day man. I try to spend time fishing with my father on or around his birthday every year. He and I have little in common aside from fishing...but it has most certainly created a major bond between me and him. All you need is one shared passion--anything more is a bonus!
