non sponsor tile sea bass trip 12/21
we headed off at midnight ride was nice, it def was not the flat and variable that was called for but not bad. Started off at daylight for tiles, doggies were awful, mix of blues and goldens caught, we had 10 was mix of gold/blue. Stayed at the tile for a while(too long for my liking) then we anchored up for seabass. We hit 2 wrecks me and my partner had 21 sea bass between us not bad considering we did nt fish for sea bass too long.
This was my first combo trip, it was an experience but for my liking im sticking to seabass only, I was told doggies were not usually this bad, but that aside i still didnt enjoy reeling 2 lbs of led 450 ft up. Would have much rather spent the day just seabassing which i will do on Saturday. Poor mates worked their asses off between tangles and dogs. Mery xmas to everyone |

It's so much fun catching doggies in 60 ft. it must be terrific at 600 ft.

That's the reason I've held off doing one of these trips too. Some guys love it, but I can't see the joy of reeling in a double header dogfish from 450+ft with 2lb of lead!

Re: non sponsor tile sea bass trip 12/21
from what the crew and most customers said this was an unusual amount of doggies. Capt tried to get away but the doggies were on a mission. From some reports this w/e seemed there were more dogs present for some reason all over the deep.
