Finally got a break in the weather having waited almost 4 weeks to get back up there. I'm spending more time finding good fishing off the banks as I usually float in a drift boat when I'm up there.
Got to the Shell station in Callicoon at 6:30 am and ate some breakfast. 1st stop was Kellams where I got a nice solid 19" rainbow and lost another small fish. Moved up to Lourdville and fished that a bit but found no love. Came back down to Kellams and got another nice rainbow, a bit bigger than the 1st one. Moved down to Callicoon, nothing. Ended up at Skinners Falls where I got 2 nice chunky smallmouth. I think fishing has slowed a bit since I was up there last, the water is ICE COLD ! Good day for scouting the area as the leaves where all gone. Just a quick 2 and a half hours from home. Surprised at the amount of trash at Skinners Falls, saw a tire too but it was just out of reach or I would have gotten it. Looked for Waldo in the deep holes but couldn't find him, not a bad day. Did not see one other person fishing the entire day.

Actually thought of you being up there as I just drove through an hour ago. Nice to see you wet a line, I know you work hard to keep our rivers clean.

Awesome scenery!

"2 1/2 hours from home".....how long of a drive if a normal person were behind the wheel??....:p
