Upper main stem of the Raritan river; A pictorial:
10 Attachment(s)
Hope these have helped to plan your next float/fishing trip. I have to stop for a while as I have blisters on my hands from rowing so much. I would like to see a Passaic river one of these. I will try to do the Musconetcong river over the winter.
Started out below Duke Island Park at Roberts Street went toward Manville. |

Don't be fooled by the pics. The Raritan is your average East coast river, wide, flat, shallow. Average depth on that day was about 2 feet. Some spots 3 to 6 and maybe very few spots deeper than that. As shallow as it is, the river still seems to hold plenty of fish. Water started getting deeper down by Landing Lane bridge in New Brunswick.
