Golf Outing, Might as well fish

Golfed today in Monroe. I'm not the best golfer but always keep a pole in the bag.

Final Count: 3 bass best 1.5lbs 7 sunnies/bluegills/pumpkin seeds

All on a white rooster tail

Mansion ridge? Most courses have nicely stocked ponds.

Concordia. Talked to an employee there are 3+lbers in there. Stupid keep pace of play rules could only do so much hunting.

That's great. I hate golf. Standing out in the hot sun chasing down a little white ball only to hit it away from you again seems like the worst idea in the world.

Having been forced to go to a few golf outings for work and dates, I have noticed that the ponds vary a lot depending on what chemicals the course uses for weed control and whether water flows through the pond.

Some ponds are fertile and full of fish, especially carp. Other golf course ponds are completely sterile with nothing but a few aquatic bugs swimming around in them.

I've noticed the same thing. It's great though. Low pressure lakes with aggressive fish. 2 birds 1 stone

One word of caution about fishing on golf courses. Pay attention to whats going on as a golf ball to the head can end your fishing days forever.
