My buddy Kyle was sending me these pictures over the weekend when I was at work. Nothing bothers me more is when thinking about fishing and knowing you can't go because of work haha. He hit the Raritan River near where we live good smallie spots are found daily.

No measurements provided. I am going to hit that spot up today. If I get any I will weigh and measure. My guess is high 3lbs to low 4lbs. Both were caught on a spinnerbait and a Rapala Scatter Rap in the Smash color respectively.

doesnt matter to me but its the same fish in both pics, look at the markings, very specific on this fish. Nice fish regardless esp for a river fish

Those two pics are the same fish . I caught two that day around the same size

There is a 3rd and 4th pic of a different one

That's a great bass.

I can completely empathize with having too much work and no time to get out on the water. I thank God I'm well employed - I just wish there was just a little less of it. :)

Finding smallmouth bass on the Raritan is easy. The hard part is finding BIG bass in that skinny water.
