NOAA vs. GURU
Huge difference in the forecasts for tomorrow. Guru says I can get the dirty shrimp out, NOAA says doom and gloom:eek:
I hope they come together one way or the other so I can make a plan The difference is huge. How can that be. |
Re: NOAA vs. GURU
I have to say, all summer windguru has been underforcasting. Did anyone think yesterday's north winds were 5-10??

Re: NOAA vs. GURU
I would throw sailflow in the mix- there forecast has been pretty accurate this year ... From what it's saying, heavy breeze in the am falling off as the day goes on

Re: NOAA vs. GURU
These guys agree with NOAA at 2am and Guru for the rest of the day. I think the problem with NOAA is they don't predict when the wind will drop out. It may be 15-20 at 2am, but 5-10 after 8am.

Re: NOAA vs. GURU
Don't know how big UR boat is but strong north if OG tide will be lumpy in AM , looks to lay down somewhat in PM
Swell will probably hang in unless NW comes on to knock it down . Bring the bag drift maybe fast. ! |
Re: NOAA vs. GURU
I also check forecast with weather channel for Atlantic highland and long branch hourly weather gives you wind reports by the hour. I never ever ever use Noah for anything other than off shore. Combining weather.com and wind guru seems that winds should start to drop down starting around 10am ish. NNW too
