The fish were biting at farrinton this morning
Fished the back in the pads. Landed a number of LMB and had to horse a few out and even get the trolling motor over to get one. Nothing huge, but respectable fish up to 2.5lbs. Also had numerous blowups and hook ups that came unbuttoned. A few pickerel to add a little spice to the action. Once the sun made an appearance and the wind kicked up I was off the water by 11:30. Fishing was good.
At the boat ramp, some fool had tossed a bunch of clay, highly colored statues right in the water. I did not notice them when I launched, still near dark. Upon returning, I removed the statues, or whatever the F! they were out of the water. |

After years of questioning the stocking of trout this lake, I noticed that they will finally stop putting trout in Farrington starting with the Fall 2014 stocking plans. It never made any sense to me to stock both trout and Northern Pike in the same lake unless you like feeding " fish candy" to the pike. Denny |

They stock trout in Lake Hopatcong, Mountain Lake, and Monksville just to name a few. Talk about fish candy.
