First i would like to give a big thank you to Pete over at Atlantic Bait and Tackle for sponsoring us in this tournament and supply us with everything we needed to have a successful trip ballyhoo,flats of butters,sardines, ice, hooks ... we headed to the hudson tues into weds this past week for the 34th manasquan offshore open Georges 35 contender risky buisness .. when we first arrived on seen everyone was already set up and chunking but we opted to stay on the troll hoping to get lucky with a big eye.. set up at night a bit east of the city an had a very nice yellowfin in the boat first hour.. rest of the night was very slow with one hammerhead on a sword rod an another tuna that pulled the hook.. up on the troll at false light we had a double go down .. got one longfin in the boat an broke off a much better fish .. swivel was bent into a circle an broke the leader to the stinger on our purple splash bar .. rest of the day nothing but some mahi .. tough out there seemed like lots of people did very well an some just couldnt get it going , until next time .. 1 yellowfin , 1 longfin, 15 mahi

Way to go Joe. Would have loved to see what that big fish would have looked like that destroyed your tackle
