A Day on the River

A day on the Delaware River with an excellent fisherman who has fished these waters all his life. We caught a mixed bag of fish with catfish being the most aggressive.

A little farther up and you could've targeted the Esox masquinongy. Cats are a load of fun, but under 10 or 15lb seems a waste of time. JMO (BTW I am a D. fisherman, ON this river 25+years)
If you've never fished it before, I can understand but quality always outweighs quantity.

You are not telling me anything. I know all about this stretch and the secrets it holds.. I used to shoot rats and catch big cats at the confluence of the P'burg scmitplant and Big D The bite just wasn't there. Big temp drop helped it to be spotty. We threw enough hardware to open up an Ace. The little cats were hungry for the jumpers we stopped along the road for. It was a fun day, regardless . As it should be.
