I hear fish are in close and are expected to make a push in the next two weeks im honestly more excited for this yr than ever. Ive learned enough and know enough spots to do the trip solo if necessary! Salmon river day trips! Not for the weak of heart that's for sure! Who else ispumped for the season! Only a couple weeks away!

Buddy of mine is friends with a well known charter up there. Fish were up to 4oft the othet day!

There's always a few run early but don't believe the hype. I caught them in the lake 2 weeks ago.

They R definitely staging thru August but a strong south wind cann tur the lake over & bring fish up in the water column. salmon driven by temps & light ,majority of fish will run in later part of month thru early fall this wont change Ive caught them as late as early October at the mouth of the Genesee but u cant bank on lk fishing this late. Mid August some fish will push into majors for the very early stages of the run.

Yep forsure will be better with more fish later on but with the crowd its nice to get a few early in if you can find them you can do dynamite! Or twiddle your thumbs in the watering hole either way good to be up there
