Finally a better flattie! 7/15 Surf Report!

Fished for some Flatties at an Elberon beach today with a morning and early afternoon to spare. I fished from 10:00-1:00Only had 3 Fluke, but 2 were keepers and one was a definitely a better one I was looking for. 24 incher! The other keeper was 19 1/2 inches. Both were caught on Fluke belly....

Definitely a better outing! On my way to my grandma's house, I at stopped at the Fish.... Den in Belmar to buy some Gulp and i was able to get a weight on it and it was a little over 4 1/2 lbs.

Good stuff for fishing the surf!

Congratulations on your catch! Nice report. I've been reading your reports for quite some time and want to let you know how incredibly impressed I am with not just your reports but your love of the sport and perspective in general. For a young man you always have a very positive attitude, never complain about a thing and simply enjoy the sport for what it offers. You obviously work hard to put a catch together and it's good to see your efforts paying off. Your parents obviously did a great job raising you and their efforts have obviously paid off as well!

Keep up the great reports and keep fishing hard, it's a way of life for sure.

Good Job! I used to love fishing for the flatties on a summers day in the Monmouth Beach area. It was a lot fun.
