Bannr pike day !
 

Yesterday was one of my best days ever on the river. With perfect weather and river conditions, I hit one spot at 8 AM for a couple of hours, went home and did a little yard work, and then went to a different spot at around noon.




In the first two hours, I landed at least 7 pike and 2 pickerel, with 5 being quality fish and a couple that were tiny. At the second spot I launched, I landed at least 8 pike and one more pickerel. I would say that I missed at least 5 fish between both spots that "felt" very good. I almost launched at a third spot in the late afternoon, but decided to do a little more yard work and then do a little grilling and continue to "hydrate" myself !! LOL

Nice looking fish Dan. Is there a state record in there? Ahhhhhhh yes, staying hydrated on these warm days is the key to life. I gotta say I think I may have over hydrated myself this weekend. SHEEEEESH, tough to get out of bed this morning. PIKE MAYHEM!!!!!:D

Here is my favorite picture from yesterday. I had a BIG pike at the side of the kayak and went to grab him when he started going crazy. I did manage to just grab the spinner bait and try to lift him, until...............the picture will tell the rest of the story!

Sweet. I need to start fishing the river more and find some new fish. my local spots are getting all weedy and the fish seem to know when im coming and disappear!

Its got to come down another 1.5' for me. Those banks are too high to haul up those pike. I need to get to water level. PLEASE no more rain this week...
