Passaic is Prime
 

Got out late morning to early afternoon yesterday. It was my best day on the Passaic so far. No really big pike but all were feisty and fought well. Some took drag seriously. 11 pike from 2' to 31" and 16 largemouths to 5 plus. Only 1 dink largemouth. All the others were at least 2 plus. Of course the battery on my WASP camera was dead so no pics. :o Gonna hit it a bunch this week since it's fishing good and right near my work.

Good to hear. The water level is still dropping, not quite "summer level" yet. No rain this week should set up good fishing from here on out.

The river's in terrific shape. A little murky but otherwise great. Might try to get out today for a couple hours.

Actually it wasn't my first post but my stuff disappeared so I had to reregister. Maybe it was because I was a commercial poster in past. Anyway glad to be back. I'll be hitting the river a lot as it's so close to my shop.

Sounds like an awesome day of fishing. Pike are loaded up where you fished. Good stuff!!! River is alive and well with MONSTERS waiting to be caught.:D

I can tell the Passaic is prime judging by the increase in the amount of cars since this thread was created. I couldn't believe it !
