Lowrance Sounder

I have a Lowrance HDS 5 plotter/sounder. The sounder locks up and does not read bottom. 95% of the time it is not worming. Tried new transducer and upgraded software. Still no change. Was working fine at start of season and now it is not. Any suggetions? I'm out of ideas.

Where is you ducer located on the transom?

believe you have to do a hard restart on it back to factory settings

Transom mounted. Did soft reset. Lowrance tech. recommened not doing hard rest back to factory settings. Sounds like I have to send it to Lowrance to get fixed.
