Striper and Bluefish in Raritan Back Bay

On Sunday, May 25, the Double Down II caught 13 striped bass with some nice keepers and 18 bluefish on fresh clams. The striper fishing seems to be holding up in the back bay with lots of blues to 10 lbs. to keep busy with.

I've been fishing the Jersey shore all my life, and I never experienced, nor thought about using clams for Bluefish. I don't imagine that it's the best bait for them but apparently it works. Live & Learn.
