SAndy Hook this weekend
 

Hello I dont often go saltwater fishing but was thinking of going this weekend to Sandy Hook for some strippers and blue fish. My friend went last weekend and caught alot in the bay from shore. Are the fish still there? and will i have any luck from shore? Thanks

Never any guarantee of fish off the beach but this is the magic time of the year and there are plenty of Blues and Stripers around. This weekend should be one of the better opportunities you're going to get this year. Get out have some fun!!

This time last year I was at north beach with my wife and kids on a Sunday. Shirt fluke, sea robins and blues were abundant. You have a great chance of catching. Give it a go and report back to us to let us know how it went.

Stripers in the surf are my thing! It has been rough lately as i haven't caught a bass in over a week now! Lots of blues to go around live report is blues are snapping! Mostly on bait right now waiting out the turn of tide for now and then its probably back to catching bluefish! Hopefully all these non catching. Night's pay off for my tourneys coming up any other questions shoot me a pm!

Great life in the surf

Been doing much striper fishing with mixed to good results

But the by catch has been constant!

Flounder,fluke,birds, shorts, blues


Fluke will be open and I bet you catch a few

We've been catching them on bunker

Fished the bay from about 2pm to 630pm and only got 1 little fluke.
