rock bass on the wallkill river

I decided to scout the river today right by the stateline, mostly to check water levels. Pretty much back to normal which makes me happy, its not a honey hole but it always produces. I didn't expect much as it was warm and sunny but to my surprise the rock bass were active. I'll caught a few around 10-11." No pics as i was traveling light and they were only rockbass. However they were nice healthy specimens. Its been a slow spring for me so it was nice just catching fish.

Funny they were biting, on LH the other night with Eddie, he landed 4 or 5 in like a 10 minute span. Usually only see a handful of them per year.
