Fishing shiners on size No. 2 hook, 6# test mono, ended up catching a 35", 11 lb 4 oz tiger musky. Also got half a dozen 12 - 14" large mouth.

That's a true strain musky, not a tiger. Nice catch and nice job on the release.

Thanks for the correction, apparently they look very similar (except pointy vs rounded tail).

No worries. They can have very distinct markings that make them look a lot like a tiger. Pretty fish you had. Congrats again.

Maybe in NJ fresh water.
